"Ensuring Justice. Empowering Humanity."
A structured, multi-institutional initiative connecting citizens to every institution that delivers justice in India — including the Police Department, Human Rights Commissions, welfare boards, Legal Services Authorities, and more — so that no genuine grievance is ever lost for want of knowing where to turn.
At TRIF, we believe a right recorded in law is not yet a true right — it becomes one only when an ordinary citizen can actually reach it and exercise it. Justice in India is delivered through many different institutions, and a citizen facing discrimination or denial of dignity often does not know which one can help them
The Justice Access Initiative by True Rights International Foundation (TRIF) trains tenmember Justice Access Committees at police stations across Telangana to have working knowledge of every institution that delivers justice — and, wherever possible, trains them directly by those institutions themselves, so citizens are guided accurately from their very first point of contact.
The Police Department remains our primary and most immediate partner, given its critical frontline role in protecting citizens and initiating the lawful process. But it is one of fifteen-plus institutions in our referral network — including Human Rights Commissions, SC/ST/BC/Women's/Minorities Commissions, Legal Services Authorities, and more — each of which plays its own vital part in delivering justice.
Our role is to walk hand-in-hand with every institution we work with — strengthening, never substituting, the lawful authority of each — while making sure no citizen is ever turned away simply because they knocked on the wrong door.
Three pillars of constructive collaboration
Initiating across Telangana with a vision to expand nationwide — creating structured frameworks for community-level justice support.
Structured engagement beginning across police stations in Telangana — building a repeatable model for the nation.
Establishing dedicated committees at each police station, ensuring consistent and localized support infrastructure.
Raising awareness and responsiveness around fundamental human rights concerns at the community level.
Providing structured support and direction for individuals facing atrocity-related issues through proper channels.
Facilitating smooth communication between citizens and the correct institution around socially sensitive matters.
Building scalable systems that can be replicated across states — transforming local committees into a national movement.
Connecting citizens to the correct authority among 15+ statutory commissions, welfare departments, and legal aid bodies — not just the police station.
10 Members per police station — trained across 15+ justice-delivering institutions, and selected based on integrity, social responsibility, community respect, and commitment to ethical service.
Trained across 15+ justice-delivering institutions — and, wherever possible, trained directly by those institutions themselves.
Help every citizen identify exactly which authority can resolve their concern, without wandering from office to office.
Connect the citizen to the correct institution and stay engaged with the case until it reaches resolution.
Maintain respectful, advance-notified coordination with the local SHO — one part of a much wider referral network.
Build an environment of awareness, trust, and transparency at the grassroots level.
